Our first juice bar opened in 2006, in the popular Mission District of San Francisco. With three Bay Area Sidewalk Juice® bars under our belts (and two more opening soon), we’ve perfected our business model and are ready to start franchising.

“We love what we do, and believe you will too!” says Gus Daibis, the company’s CEO. “Helping people live healthier, more active lives using the freshest and highest quality fruits and vegetables in made-to-order juices, smoothies and bowls, with no artificial colors or flavors, no preservatives or added sweeteners is part of our recipe for success.”

It all started with our founder, Jason Nazzal, President. At 21 years old, and an avid athlete and entrepreneur, Jason was frustrated with his lack of energy and motivation. Delving into juicing changed his life. Almost overnight, he noticed the difference in his performance—both physically and mentally.

After perfecting the taste of various fruit and veggie drink recipes, he was inspired to open a juice and smoothie bar so he could share his positive experience with his friends and community. Jason found a 300sf space with a window to the street on 21st Street at Valencia in the Mission District of San Francisco, and Sidewalk Juice® was born. Customers literally lined up on the sidewalk to place their order and receive their purchase at the window.

And with our newest location opening in San Francisco International Airport’s Terminal 3, the Sidewalk Juice® brand is sure to gain national notoriety as more than 13 million passengers travel through Terminal 3 annually.

Sidewalk Juice® is perfectly suited for the character of any community.

And the format is flexible to fit many environments – from resident neighborhoods and strip centers, to street side windows (like our original location), kiosks (such as in fitness clubs, grocery stores, malls, college campuses, airports, and event venues such as sports arenas, ballparks and casinos), as well as food trucks at Farmer’s markets and other events.

As a San Francisco based business, we are currently focusing franchise development within California to ensure we grow the brand responsibly and can fully support our franchisees. However, if you are outside of California and have an exciting and viable “sidewalk” in yourcommunity, tell us about it. Federal and State franchise laws require us to jump through some hoops, so we will want to make sure the time is right for growth beyond California.

    • Minimum financial qualifications to open a Sidewalk Juice®:

      Liquidity: $100,000 Net worth: $300,000 Credit Score: 700

    • Qualified candidates should have:

      An understanding of our brand, culture and franchise business model. Business experience (restaurant experience preferred, but not required).

Investment and Structure Fee

  • Start up – payable to Franchisor and respective 3rd parties

    A new juice bar investment is between $180,000 and $401,000** which includes a $30,000 franchise fee.

    Costs can vary by location, and the average cost is $250,000.

  • Ongoing fees to be paid to Franchisor per juice bar as a percentage of gross sales:

    6% royalty and up to 3% marketing fee

The Process

    Fill out and submit the pre-qualification spanquestionnaire below.

    A Sidewalk Juice® franchise development leader will contact you to provide an overview of what is involved in joining our franchise family and answer any initial questions you may have.

    Complete our franchise application to provide detailed business experience and financial capabilities. We ask you to certify your responses and grant us permission to confirm the data is accurate–there is no charge to you and the relationship at this point remains non-binding.

    Introduction to our Team via in-person meeting or webinar.

  5. 5

    If we are satisfied with what you’ve told us, we will provide you with our Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD). This is a legal document we are required to provide that tells more about us and our franchise program. We recommend you have an attorney review the details with you.

  6. 6

    Franchise Awarded / Sign Franchise Agreement and pay the initial franchise fee.

  7. 7

    Site selection and development, training, hiring employees and open for business. Congratulations!
